Gordon Bowman – Board Member
Gordon Bowman has been a playing member of the North Shore Concert Band basically since it’s inception over 45 years ago! Through directors that formed the predecessor of what is today the North Shore Concert Band he been there through all of that! He was part of the team that formed the 501,C3 Corporation which is today’s North Shore Concert Band! Gordon has been instrumental in the efficient and consistent operation of the band having served as the Band Manager, throughout his years with the band!
It is hard to believe, but, Gordon after his 45 years of service in a multitude of roles, has decided to retire from participating as a playing member in the concerts, as well as from the position of Band Manager. He continues to serve the band assisting in concert operations, and fund raising and serving on the Board of Directors for now.
Gordon’s scaling back his involvement has definitely had an impact upon the band! His position as Band Manger has been filled by three people and still leaves a bit of a hole!
