Eileen Yarrison teaches flute at Salem State University and Gordon College, and in the Hamilton-Wenham elementary music program. She is the coach of the Salem High School Flute Ensemble and of the Beverly Middle School Flute Club. She is the conductor of the Me2/Boston Flute Choir, an ensemble devoted to supporting individuals with mental illnesses.
Eileen is principal flute with the contemporary, multi-media orchestra known as The Orchestra On The Hill (Ipswich, MA), and also performs with the contemporary woodwind trio Triage, and with the Boston-area based Irish band, Killeeshil. Eileen holds degrees in Flute Performance from the University of Nebraska and Penn State University, and a degree in Music Education from the University of New Hampshire.
Eileen has been with the band since 1999 and is the holds the principle flute/piccolo chair. She is a lifelong fan of marches and her favorite song to play is John Philip Souza’s Stars and Stripe Forever”
