John Koza

John Koza – Clarinet

 

John Koza has been the conductor of the Salem Philharmonic Orchestra since 2015, after performing in the orchestra under Alan Hawryluk’s direction for over 30 years. John is a graduate of UMass Lowell with a B.M. in music education, and theory and composition. He has been playing professionally since 1973 and has performed with most of the musical groups and associations on the North Shore, including of course, the Paul Madore Chorale. 

 

 John plays clarinet the the North Shore Concert band, and also serves on the band’s Board of Directors.

 

In addition to his conducting and playing, John is a librarian at North Shore Community College and a Deacon at St. Mary of the Annunciation church in Danvers.
